Play Therapy Interventions to Support Executive Functioning in ADHDers- Live Webinar- February 24th 10am-1pm
DATE: Tuesday February 24, 2026
TIME: 10am-1:00pm
CREDIT: 3 hours / 3 APT CEs
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: In a post-COVID world marked by chronic stress, disrupted routines, and constant digital stimulation, many children, teens—and adults—are showing behaviors that look like ADHD: distractibility, restlessness, difficulty initiating tasks, emotional overwhelm, and procrastination. While not everyone meets diagnostic criteria, nearly everyone can benefit from tools that strengthen executive functioning skills.
This interactive workshop explores how play therapy and play-based interventions can be used to coach executive functioning skills in developmentally responsive, engaging ways. Participants will learn practical strategies to address challenges related to attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, task initiation, and follow-through—using play as both assessment and intervention.
Through case examples, experiential activities, and adaptable games, attendees will gain concrete tools for working with children, adolescents, and even adults, across clinical, school, and community settings. The workshop emphasizes co-regulation, flexibility, and relationship-based approaches, helping clients manage hyperactivity, reduce overwhelm, and build skills without shame or over-correction.
Participants will leave with:
Play-based techniques to support attention, organization, and planning
Strategies for managing distraction, hyperactivity, and procrastination through play
Tools for scaffolding executive functioning while honoring nervous system needsIdeas that can be immediately integrated into therapy, classrooms, or parenting work
This workshop reframes executive functioning challenges not as individual failures, but as understandable responses to a dysregulated world, and offers play as a powerful pathway toward focus, connection, and growth.
Upon purchase, you will receive confirmation of your place in the webinar and then you will receive the link for the webinar in an email 24 hours before the event.
